How we embrace these labels and live them in our daily lives effects all the relationships we have, especially with our children.
Practicing inclusion of “all moms” in our community is something we need to be conscious of so that we can teach our children that labels do not equal limitations. Embracing the common qualities that make us all “people just trying to raise even better people” and lifting each other up is so important to changing the way the world views motherhood.
Dutton Farm wants to bring together a panel of moms for an open discussion on what these labels mean to them, what stigmas they would like to dispel and how they feel we can teach our children inclusion by example.
By the end of the brunch, it would be our hope that all the mothers in attendance would feel a new connection between each other that they didn’t have before and that everyone would have a new appreciation of each other’s “labels”.
