Ribbon Cutting Celebration for The Jackson
Join us as we celebrate The Jackson restaurant with a ribbon cutting. The Jackson, co-owned by Michigan natives Chef Justin Vaiciunas and hospitality expert Michael Mauro, will offer a new style of restaurant to the culinary landscape in Rochester Hills. The restaurant will pay homage to the renowned American Abstract Expressionist artist Jackson Pollock and will offer a culinary experience that is certain to push the boundaries of creative expression.
The Jackson will draw inspiration from Jackson Pollock’s modern style of painting, use of color and capturing the essence of Pollock’s unique and innovative artist’s approach through the menu and design elements in the restaurant.
Under the visionary guidance of Chef Justin Vaiciunas, a native of Rochester Hills, a countless award winner, and winner of Metro Detroit’s Best Chef by The Detroit Free Press in 2012, the dishes that will be served at The Jackson will represent edible masterpieces, each one a bold and daring interpretation of Pollock’s abstract style.
The Jackson’s culinary offerings will be constantly evolving aiming to provide a dynamic and captivating dining experience. The wine and cocktails will be crafted by Michael Mauro, a native of East Lansing, Michigan. Mauro, who holds sommelier certificates from the Court of Master Sommeliers, Wine and Spirit Education, and the Sake Service Institute of Japan will curate a selection of old and new-world wines as well as elevated cocktails that come from local Michigan ingredient and farmers.
