Michael Dwyer is the founder of Rochester Writers, supporting new writers, working journalists, and published authors through networking, workshops, and conferences. He provides opportunities for the writing community to take their projects to the next level - from publication to promotion.

Michael is also a freelance writer, editor, and is the publisher for Rochester Media, an online publication for Rochester, Rochester Hills, and Oakland Township. He has published hundreds of articles in local newspapers, national print magazines, and online news outlets. He captures moments and tells the story with conversational prose, encouraging readers to explore, engage, and experience.

Marilyn Trent, principal and founder of Trent Creative, started as a freelance designer in 1992 with little more than a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, her creative talent, tenacity and commitment to satisfying the design needs of her clients. Over the past two decades, she has turned that business into a successful, award winning, full-service design, strategic branding and marketing agency while simultaneously raising two daughters and acting as a catalyst for positive social and ecological change in her community.


 

 

Vicky Winkler, President of The Marketing Shop. I have been in the field of marketing for over 25 years. The Marketing Shop provides printing and graphic design services. I am also an adjunct professor of marketing at Macomb Community College.

I’ve been a member of the Rochester Hills community for twenty-seven years. My husband and I have raised our two children in the greater Rochester community and love the community, the people, and the amenities this area offers. I’m a Cincinnati native, a University of Cincinnati graduate, and a graphic designer by trade and have volunteered my time and professional talent to numerous greater Rochester community organizations: the Rochester Area Neighborhood House, the Older Persons Commission, and currently serve as a school board trustee for Rochester Community Schools. I have experience on projects individually as lead designer, project manager and as part of a design team in many different work environments-from corporate in-house design departments to design firms-and currently work as a freelance graphic designer. 
 

Lisa Swiftney is a Brand and Marketing Strategist who partners with CEOs, executives and solo-preneurs to grow their personal and professional brands.
