The Rochester Garden Club is an active group dedicated to stimulating interest in environmental stewardship, horticulture and agriculture through education and programs and by contributing to the beauty of our community since 1935. We are actively involved in the planning and maintaining of the Children's Garden at the Van Hoosen Farm throughout the year. We host two fund raisers a year. The Garden Walk is an intimate look at private gardens held on the third Thursday of June. A Gifts and Greens Market is held the week following Thanksgiving. All profits are returned to the community through projects and financial gifts. Community service projects include teaching 350+ Pre-school children about gardening, planting annual flowers at many Rochester buildings and parks, horticultural therapy activities for senior citizens and holiday decorating of the Rochester Community House and Van Hoosen Farm Museum.
