Ascension Mental Health First Aid Instructor Training Opportunity

Ascension Providence Rochester Foundation would like to provide an opportunity for your or your organization to help us make an impact on the mental health of our community. The proceeds from our annual Manga é Bocce event raised enough funds for us to bring an in-person Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Instructor training course to our area. This course will allow us to spread Mental Health First Aid across our community.  Instructors are individuals certified to teach the course.

MHFA is a skills-based course that teaches participants about mental health and substance-use issues - it is the CPR for mental health.  “MHFA takes the fear and hesitation out of starting conversation about mental health and substance use problems by improving understanding and providing an action plan that teaches people to safely and responsibly identify and address a potential mental illness or substance use disorder.”  MHFA - Learn More

Seating is limited and we will fill on a first come first serve basis (as well as ability to make the commitment).  This is an opportunity to really make a huge impact on our community by training instructors who can then hold their own training sessions.  Please review the information below and fill out the the application (CLICK HERE) as soon as possible to reserve your seat:
