“Pathway to HOPE Wellness Walk” Brings Support, Community, and Encouragement to Special Needs Families
May 3rd event offers connection, resources, and real solutions for families navigating complex medical and developmental challenges.
[Rochester Hills, Michigan] – On Saturday, May 3, 2025, families, friends, and advocates will gather at Innovation Hills Park for the Pathway to HOPE Wellness Walk—a powerful FREE community event created to uplift families of children with special needs and celebrate the launch of the Pathway to HOPE: Resource Guide for Special Needs.
Hosted by Healing Complex Kids, and with presenting sponsor, PNC Bank, the Wellness Walk is more than a casual stroll. It’s a day of encouragement, connection, and practical support. Attendees will enjoy a variety of family-friendly experiences, including children’s activities, a fire truck visit, giveaways, wellness resources, and demonstrations of adaptive playground equipment. Each element is designed to bring families together and provide solutions for immediate use.
“This event is about awareness,” says Julie Cadman, co-founder and CEO of Healing Complex Kids. “It’s about building community, offering hope, and giving families the support they need to thrive. The Wellness Walk reminds families that they’re not alone.”
In addition to celebrating the official release of Pathway to HOPE: Resource Guide for Special Needs—a 26-chapter guide packed with expert advice, personal stories, and actionable tools—the Wellness Walk also serves as a fundraiser to help get critical resources like the book and ongoing webinars into the hands of more families. Funds raised will also support scholarships for personalized Healing Plans, which help parents set targeted goals and map out next steps for their child’s healing journey.
Healing Complex Kids is deeply grateful to the sponsors whose generosity and commitment make this event possible:
